In a statement given in Kemang, South Jakarta, Clara Shinta explained that her decision to make the evidence of the alleged affair go viral was a result of immense mental pressure. Seeing the proofs of her husband’s extramarital activities firsthand caused her to lose control and act impulsively. She shared that posting and viralizing the evidence were actions she couldn’t contain upon discovering the indecent acts committed by her husband with another woman.
Following the viral incident, Clara Shinta faced repercussions in the form of a legal demand for compensation from the woman suspected to be her husband’s mistress. She was taken aback by the exorbitant amount of Rp10.7 billion claimed for the alleged psychological distress and disruption to the woman’s work. Clara Shinta expressed her shock and disbelief at the unrealistic demands made against her in the somation letter received from the woman involved.
